HOLY WEEK & EASTER (14/04-20/04)

Rediscover the story that has inspired artists for centuries

The Easter narrative is at times complex and even unclear - perhaps the church has made it this way - but at its heart, it is a compelling story about love, hope, pain and joy; a story that invites us to see are own failings and shortcomings, to enter the story and to emerge with a fresh hope for new beginnings.

This Easter we are hosting a special event at St Richard's on the Monday of Holy Week and then some of us will join in with other activities taking place around the Charlton area in our sister churches (St Luke's and St Thomas').

On Easter Sunday morning we will join with St Thomas Church for a joint Easter Service.

Holy Week schedule

What is Easter all about?

You're probably familiar with the name and the general idea of Easter but if you want to explore the story a bit more, we recommend this video by The Bible Project as a great starting point. We'll be taking a look at the "what" and the "so what" of the Easter events and story in our Easter Sunday celebration too (details below)
